Riding off of the success of his last album, The World from the Side of the Moon and two Platinum-selling singles (“Home” & “Gone, Gone, Gone”), Phillip Phillips prepares to release his Sophomore album Produced by Gregg Wattenberg. Phillips recently told Billboard that he’s been “working on this one for a month and a half so far. It’s a completely different album that’s going to show a different side of me.” Recorded at Rewind Studios in Times Square, Phillips explained saying, “It’s a love song, but it’s also a little heavier, too. It’s got a little bit of an edgier side to it, and I really like that.” With the help of WU Songs writers, Todd Clark, and Derek Fuhrmann, ‘Fire’ was released in less than a week after completion. It is the first single off of Behind the Light, due out May 19th.
